For Malaysian retail — kedai runcit, minimart, pharmacy

Your cameras already saw it. Nobody was watching.

Jaga.ai is a small box that plugs into your shop's network, watches the CCTV you already own, and sends a clip to your phone when someone looks like they're hiding stock. You tap Yes or No. That's the whole product.

Free during the pilot. We bring the box, install it, and take it back if it isn't earning its place.

  • Works with your existing cameras

The honest situation

CCTV is a recorder, not a guard.

Every shop we walk into already has cameras. The recorder in the back room is full. Nobody has opened it in months — and when they finally do, it's because stock is already gone and they're scrubbing through six hours of video hoping to find the moment.

The cameras were never the problem. Nobody watching them was.

You find out from the stock count
Weeks later, with no idea which day to look at.
Reviewing footage costs a whole evening
And you still need to know roughly when it happened to find it.
A guard costs RM1,800–2,500 a month
Covers one shift, one door, and looks away like anyone else.
Nobody is watching at 3pm on a Tuesday
Which is exactly when the shop is busy and the counter is one person.

How it works

Three things happen. Two of them are ours.

  1. We plug in a box

One visit. The box joins your network and finds your recorder by itself — we scan for it, we don't reconfigure it. Your cameras, your NVR and your recordings are left exactly as they are.

  2. It watches, all opening hours

Every camera you point it at, five frames a second, looking for the specific shape of someone putting stock into a bag, a pocket or under clothing.

  3. You get a clip and two buttons

Telegram, on the phone you already carry, ~20–30 seconds after the behaviour ends. Watch it, tap Yes or No. Nothing else to check, no dashboard to log into.

Keep the cameras you have

Jaga.ai speaks RTSP and ONVIF, which is what almost every recorder sold in Malaysia already speaks. It scans your network, finds the recorder, tries the stream patterns for each brand and shows you what it found. You pick the channels you want watched.

If your recorder isn't on this list, we test it on the visit before you commit to anything.

It never touches your recorder

Read-only. We don't change settings, don't add users, don't wipe recordings. If you unplug our box tomorrow, your CCTV is exactly as it was this morning.

Your verdict trains it

Every Yes and every No is stored on the box and used to tune the model for your shop — your aisles, your lighting, your camera angles.

Clips expire on their own

7 days for anything you didn't review, 30 days for what you did. The disk manages itself; nothing fills up and nothing is kept forever.

Internet goes down, it keeps working

Detection runs on the box, not in a data centre. Losing the line delays the Telegram message — it doesn't stop the watching or the recording.

Why it's built this way

The footage never leaves your shop.

Most "AI CCTV" products stream your cameras to someone else's servers. We decided early that we would not, and the whole architecture follows from that one decision.

No faces, no identity. Jaga.ai does not do facial recognition and stores no biometric data. Each shopper is a temporary number that is thrown away when they leave the frame — the system genuinely cannot tell you whether the same person came back yesterday.
Your cameraStream is read over your own LAN. It is never uploaded.
The box, in your back roomFinds people, follows each one, and judges whether what they're doing looks like concealment. All of it on the box's own processor.
Only when something firesOne short clip and one line of text go to your Telegram. Nothing else is ever sent — not the live stream, not the quiet hours, not the 99% of the day when nothing happens.
You decideThe software never accuses anyone. It raises a hand; a human looks. Your Yes or No is the only verdict that counts.

Where we actually are

Early, and we'd rather say so.

Jaga.ai is running live in pilot on a 16-camera site today. The detection, the alerts, the clips and the review loop all work end to end. What we do not have yet is a long track record of confirmed catches — we are tuning the model against real shop footage right now, which is exactly what the pilot is for.

So we're not going to put an accuracy percentage on this page. Anyone who quotes you one measured on staged lab video is telling you about their lab, not your shop. Take a free box for the pilot period, judge it on your own aisles, and keep it only if it earns the money.

Pricing

Priced per site, by how many cameras you want watched.

You don't have to connect every camera. Most shops start with the three or four that cover the aisles where stock actually goes missing.

One camera, one blind spot you already know about.

Enterprise

Customquoted per site, after a survey

  • 41 cameras and up
  • Everything in Chain
  • Hardware specced to the site
  • Named contact for rollout

Plus the box, once. RM2,499 for Solo and Starter, RM4,999 for Growth, RM7,999 for Chain. It's yours — it stays in your shop and it's the thing doing the work.

At the camera limit the software stops you adding another until you move up a tier. Nothing is switched off and nothing is silently billed.

Prices exclude SST. Above 40 cameras we survey the sites first — the quote depends on how many boxes it takes, not just the camera count.

During the pilot, the subscription is free and we bring the box at no cost. If it isn't finding things worth knowing about, we collect it and you've spent nothing.

Before you ask

The questions shop owners actually ask.

Do I need to buy new cameras?

No — that's the point. If your cameras reach a recorder, Jaga.ai can almost certainly read them. We test your specific setup during the visit, before you commit to anything. Where a camera is pointed at the ceiling or the car park we'll tell you it's not worth connecting.

Will you change anything on my NVR?

No. We read from it and nothing else. We don't create accounts on it, don't change its settings, and don't delete or overwrite your recordings. Your existing CCTV keeps working exactly as it does now, and keeps working if our box is removed.

Who can see my shop's footage?

You. The video stays on the box in your shop. The only thing that ever leaves the premises is the short clip attached to an alert, sent to your own Telegram chat. There is no cloud dashboard, and we cannot log in and watch your cameras.

How many false alarms will I get?

Early on, more than you'd like. A person reaching into a bag and a person putting something into a bag look similar from a ceiling camera, and the system is deliberately tuned to raise a hand rather than stay quiet.

Every "No" you tap teaches it about your shop specifically, so the rate drops over the first weeks. We'd rather tell you this now than have you discover it in week two.

Can I watch my cameras live on my phone?

Not through Jaga.ai. There's a live view on a laptop in the shop for setup, but we haven't built remote live viewing — your NVR's own app already does that, and we'd rather not duplicate it badly. Jaga.ai's job is to tell you when to look.

What if my internet goes down?

Detection carries on — it runs on the box, not online. Alerts queue up and send when the line comes back. You lose the notification timing, not the watching.

Is there a grant for this?

Malaysian MSMEs may be able to claim part of a digitalisation purchase like this under the MSME Digital Grant MADANI, which covers 50% of eligible cost up to RM5,000. Eligibility and the approved-provider list are set by MDEC, not by us — ask us on the visit and we'll tell you honestly where our application stands.

What happens if I stop?

Tell us and we stop billing at the end of the month. The box is yours — it just stops receiving updates and tuning. If you'd rather we take it away, we will, and clips on it are deleted in front of you.

Let us look at your shop.

A visit takes about an hour. We check whether your cameras can be read, show you the alert on your own phone, and tell you straight if it isn't worth doing.

Free during the pilot. No contract, no card, and we'll say no ourselves if your setup isn't a fit.
